Jesuit Principles of Leadership: A Lecture


What values from your Fordham education can you take with you to the real world? How can you market your education to future employers?  Is all the emphasis on Cura Personalis, Magis and other Jesuit tenets worth it? What leadership skills have your Jesuit education taught you?

Learn the answer to all these questions and more from author Chris Lowney, who will be coming to Fordham tomorrow

Chris Lowney, a former Jesuit and Fordham alum,  was named a managing director at J. P. Morgan & Co. while still in his thirties and held senior positions in New York, Tokyo, Singapore, and London before leaving the firm in 2001. He is the author of the best-selling Heroic Leadership: Best Practices from a 450-Year-Old Company That Changed the World, and Heroic Living: Discover Your Purpose and Change the World. Lowney lives in New York.

This event is presented by Alpha Sigma Nu, the Jesuit Honor Society, in conjunction with Gabelli School of Business.

Position: Part-time Legal Intern (paid!)
Description: Small White Plains law firm is looking for an undergraduate student with interest in the law, to work part time (approx. 10hrs/week). 
Duties include:
- Filing legal documents with the Court
- Occasional accompanying of attorney to Court
- Retrieving legal documents
- Correspondence with other attorneys,
- Coordinating and scheduling real estate closings
- Obtaining bank checks for closings

Responsibilities:

- Assist in prospecting, territory development and generating qualified leads.
- Assist in collaborating territory and target account research, telephone cold calling, and campaign follow-up on activities developed to strengthen the pipeline forecasts for new business potential.
