Career & Internship Fair: INSIDE TIPS!

Planning on attending a Spring Career Fair?

When are they? The LC Career & Internship Fair: Arts, Media & Service is on Wednesday, January 29th from 3-6pm in the Pope Auditorium. The Spring 2014 Career & Internship Fair is coming up on Wednesday,  February 12th from 1-4pm in the McGinley Ballroom.


Check out a few tips listed below to make sure you're ready to make the most of it:


1. Have your resume reviewed by a Career Counselor.
Make an appointment via CareerLink. Stop by the Plaza at Lincoln Center today and tomorrow from 11am-2pm, or at the Rose Hill office (McGinley 224) between 1 and 3pm for a quick review. 


2. Do some research on the attending employers.
Figure out which companies most interest you and make sure you know a bit about them. You'll want to be able to engage the recruiter in a real conversation about the company and the internship/job opportunities they have available.


3. Come up with some questions for each company you're interested in.
Write them down. Bring your questions with you, and ask away to begin a conversation!


4. Print out multiple copies of your resume.
Bring them in a folder so they stay neat. Make sure you have a pen.


5. Dress for Success.
Come to the Career Fair dressed like you're going to an interview. Remember, your first impression is important!


6. Take business cards from companies that you like.
Make sure to send a follow up or thank you email after the Career Fair to stay in touch if you're interested in the job or internship.

The work will include project oriented tasks such as financial analysis, forecasting, modeling, and working with Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations. By working at Mizuho Bank’s New York Office, interns will gain an in-depth understanding of how a global bank operates in the American market. Our bank is one of the world’s largest, with total assets of over 1.9 trillion USD. We are primarily targeting rising seniors for internships in exciting front office areas such as Corporate Finance Advisory, Acquisition Finance, High Yield Loans, Project Finance, Securitization, Derivatives, and Commodity Finance.
