for a publicity intern!
Position assists the execution of publicity campaigns for A-list
clients in the entertainment, brand, and lifestyle category under the
leadership and direction of the VP of National Publicity and National Publicity
team. Position start date is flexible, with
the potential to stay on for additional semesters, depending on quality of
work. The ability to work 2-3 days
(partial or full, minimum of 14 hours) a week is required. The internship is unpaid, but paid
opportunities may become available throughout the internship.
All applicants must be able to
receive college credit and provide proof via appropriate documentation.
Candidate must be a junior or senior in high academic standing.
Daily tasks include but are not
limited to:
Draft press releases and media alerts
Create necessary materials and collateral for clients when needed
Write and compile comprehensive reports of all activities documented
with photos, press breaks and any additional collateral for clients on a weekly
basis
Research new media or press in various mediums
Support Vice President of National Publicity and Jr. Publicist with
projects and account management needs as directed
Event staffing when appropriate
Preferred skills/experience:
Flexible, resourceful and able to thrive in a fast-paced, changing and
growing environment
Ability to manage and execute multiple projects with a sense of urgency
while also maintaining priorities and focus
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a
team
Excellent written and verbal communications skills

This internship provides an opportunity to learn all facets of public
relations by working closely with the president of the agency. Activities include developing media lists and
press kits, industry research, and working directly with media on behalf of client
products and services. Social media savvy, a plus.
