Job Description:
Interns in the Media Relations department within
MSNBC will work with a small and substantial team that handles the daily PR and
events of a 24-hour news network. Interns assist the staff by pulling daily
press clips, distributing transcripts via online programs, contribute to
info.msnbc.com, research, assist pitching individuals and shows to new outlets,
accompanying publicists to different events/photo shoots, compiling contact
information and a variety of additional tasks.
Qualifications:
• In pursuit of an Associate,
Bachelor or Graduate degree
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
• Eligible to receive academic credit
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Authorized to participate in an unpaid internship in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous work experience in an office environment
• Previous internship experience
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
• Eligible to receive academic credit
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Authorized to participate in an unpaid internship in the U.S.

**This is an especially exciting
time with the election taking place this year! There are 3 spots open and MSNBC
is flexible with students’ schedules. Usually interns are in the office 2
– 3 days a week, working 15 – 20 hours a week. Summer interns are finished the
first week of August, so if any student that can start before school starts are
welcome to apply!
