Career Week Schedule

It’s the BEST TIME OF THE YEAR! 

That’s right… not only does it finally feel like spring, but it's also CAREER WEEK!! Take the next step towards your future, and join the Fordham Career Ambassadors for a week full of advice, fun and prizes! All to help you snag your dream internship, job or career.  Stop by our table on the Plaza everyday to participate in a #CareerWeek2013 activity, and be entered to win some awesome Career Week prizes!

Monday, April 8^th – Career Assessment Day

Meet the Career Ambassadors on the Plaza all day to take a basic Career Assessment test on our sweet iPads or your phone! You’ll get your results as a 4-letter personality type… and FCAs and Career Services staff will be able to help you figure out what this means for your career! You’ll also receive swag unique to your results. Come find us to see what we’ve GOT.

Time: 1130am-330pm

Where: Plaza – the Career Week Table!

TUESDAY, APRIL 9^th – Resume Day

Come learn how to build a resume from scratch, perfect your resume phrasing, or write a stellar cover letter from the FCAs and Career Services staff. We’ll have workshops, pizza, and Career Ambassador folders filled with resume paper for attendees! You’ll also have an opportunity to have a personal resume editing session with an FCA or a Career Services staff member.

Time: 1230pm-430pm

Where: Plaza – the Career Week Table!

There will also be resume workshops from 2-4pm in the South Lounge! Stop by from 2-3pm OR 3-4pm to check one out.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10^th – Interview Day

Do you have what it takes?  Step inside one of our three interview booths to test your skills. Do a mock interview with the Career Services staff to get personal feedback, and even get a recording of it sent to your e-mail so you can review it at home. Complete an interview and be rewarded in raffle tickets and other prizes.

Thursday, April 11^th – Networking Day

A mocktail reception with light refreshment and live music by FCLC students meant to mimic the environment of a typical professional-social event. Mingle and meet people, and if you do it will pay off. Impress the FCA/Career Services Staff/Alumni you’re speaking with and you'll get raffle tickets for cool prizes!

Time: 5:30pm

Where: The Atrium

We'll also be at our table in the Plaza from 1130am-330pm to learn about the best Networking strategies to prepare for the mocktail event later!

Friday, April 12^th – Dress & Etiquette Day

Come take a peek at some of the very best outfits to wear to an interview. Match up your ideal outfit and have the opportunity to win FCA prizes! We'll also have a photobooth -- so come take pictures with your friends (and who knows, maybe the RAM will make an appearance!)

Time: 130pm-530pm
