Credit Suisse: HOLT Valuation Challenge

Looking for an interesting and fun opportunity in the finance industry?

The HOLT Valuation Challenge is an opportunity for students around the world to expand their finance knowledge and compete for a chance to interview for up to 10 internships or co-ops with Credit Suisse and affiliates.

The HOLT Valuation Challenge was created in 2012 as an extension of the group's traditional campus recruitment. Its mission is to educate students around the world on the HOLT methodology and identify top student talent. It also provides an additional touch point with Credit Suisse clients, many of whom have children or other family members eligible to participate.

Student registration is NOW OPEN!! The spring session of the 2013 HOLT Valuation Challenge begins on April 15. The game is open to undergraduate or graduate level students in any institution globally. Interested students should register no later than April 13 on the ProjectFirefly site.

This past fall, 719 students from 181 universities in 47 countries, including Latvia, Guatemala, Bulgaria, Ghana, Nepal and Nigeria, took part in Credit Suisse's HOLT Valuation Challenge.

"The traditional way to get an interview here is, you either know someone at the bank who has enough clout to get you an interview, or you go to a school we recruit from," said Jim Ostry, Managing Director, HOLT Strategy, Branding and Product Development, "but there are hundreds of universities we don't have time to recruit from. This allows us to look for the diamond in the rough—students who might have been smart enough to go to one of our target schools, but for whatever reason, be it geography or finances, are not there. I don't care what school you went to: I want to know if you're hard working, smart and curious."
