Fall Internships Available: Ideasmyth


Ideasmyth, a boutique creative communications, holistic coaching and branding consultancy, is still looking to fill a few fall internship availabilities! Check out the openings below… and apply ASAP:

1. The Business Development/Marketing Intern will create and assist in the implementation of a comprehensive business plan for Ideasmyth. The intern will be in correspondence with the Owner and Project Manager to dialogue about the development and execution of business strategies. 

Intern Responsibilities include: 
-Market research
- Develop strategies on how to make the most of Ideasmyth’s marketplace niche, differentiating it from competitors
- Collaborate with the Events Producer on marketing and developing sponsorship for Ideasmyth events
- Research how to expand Ideasmyth as a business
- Support the completion of Woman Owned Business designation
- Research grant, loan and other small business opportunities like Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program
- Attend weekly staff meetings and office hours
- Participate in quarterly intern evaluations with the Project Manager
- Contribute to the entrepreneurial spirit of Ideasmyth through your involvement in your department

2. The Events Intern is responsible for assisting the Events Producer in the planning and execution of all Ideasmyth events. The intern will aid in the management of all staff and vendors, as well as help coordinate the participation of presenters and attendees. Specific tasks include promoting Ideasmyth events, venue scouting, and acting as the assistant liaison between Ideasmyth and clients and/or venues. The intern will research resources for the publicity and promotion of events, as well as implement these ideas.

Intern responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Events Producer in completing goals for the monthly events
- Coordinating with the Events Producer for tracking progress and success of events
- Organizing and preparing for event setup, implementation, and finish
- Researching and building relationships with potential sponsors and partners
- Collaborating with the Ideasmyth team on marketing strategies
- Assisting in venue and location scouting
- Developing and maintaining calendars of events
- Researching and maintaining resources related to event planning
- Participating and showcasing industry trends in weekly meetings
- Brainstorming ideas for event topics, panelists, and activities
- Liaising with videographer(s) and photographer(s) of events and making sure that all video and photos are backed up and used in social media effectively
- Attend weekly Ideasmyth meetings
- Participate in quarterly evaluations with the Project Manager
- Contribute to the entrepreneurial spirit of Ideasmyth through your involvement in your department

3. The Social Media/PR Intern is responsible for managing Ideasmyth’s social media presence and promoting Ideasmyth events, classes, workshops and as a whole through free and paid advertising, networking events and publications. The intern will create and and assist in the implementation of some content for Ideasmyth social media, as well as analyze social media tactics and trends. The intern will research resources for publicity and community outreach, as well as implement these ideas. S/he loves to write and enjoys investigating tech applications on the web for the purposes of communication and community building. The intern should be familiar with Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, HootSuite, YouTube and Google Drive.

Intern Responsibilities Include:
- Promote brand awareness
- Communicate with the team
- Monitor all forms of media
- Research social media trends and present industry news
- Compose posts across all Ideasmyth social media accounts
- Follow and update the Ideasmyth Style Guidelines at all times
- Manage postings on clients
- Develop Ideasmyth client event calendar
- Suggest blog content for Ideasmyth website
- Collaborate ideas for weekly/monthly Ideasmyth publication
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating speaking engagements, appearances, photo shoots, and other special events
- Search for press clippings
- Research and maintain client, sponsorship, client lead databases
- Greet guests and clients
- Attend weekly Ideasmyth meetings
- Attend networking events with industry leads
- Participate in quarterly evaluations with the Project Manager
- Contribute to the entrepreneurial spirit of Ideasmyth through involvement in your department
