The United States Attorney’ s Office for the Eastern District of New York is accepting applications for a litigation support position in its Public Integrity Section.  The expected start date is between June and July 2014.

The Public Integrity Section investigates and prosecutes criminal cases involving corruption by elected and appointed public officials at all levels of government, and by institutions and businesses that receive federal funding. 

Description:
Selected applicant will have the opportunity to work on cases involving bribery, extortion, embezzlement, mail and wire fraud, campaign finance fraud, and a variety of other public corruption charges.

Selected applicant will organize and maintain case files, review documents and assist in the preparation of cases for trial.  They will also have the opportunity to participate in trials and other court proceedings, as well as participate in witness interviews and internal strategic planning sessions.  This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who are considering a legal career.

Requirements:
Applicants must have a B.A. or similar degree.  They should have a strong academic record, excellent organizational skills, an ability to work well with a group and an interest in the law and public service.  Applicants should expect to work more than eight hours a day and outside of traditional office hours, on occasion, in order to prepare for, and assist at, trials.  Applicants should be prepared to commit to stay in the position for two years.

All positions are subject to funding availability and security clearance.  Applicants must be citizens of the United States.  Applicants must pass a background investigation, including a drug test and credit check, before an offer will be extended.  Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must demonstrate either that they have registered with the Selective Service or that they are exempt from doing so.

- Work alongside Product Management and Development teams in delivering cutting edge technology and functionality to the market
- Test the Eze OMS™ as if you were a client of ours (traders, brokers, hedge funds, and portfolio managers) 
- Learn how our clients use the Eze OMS™ to handle their daily trading activities including portfolio management, electronic trading and settlement processes
Connectivity Consultant (Eze OMS™ - Boston and Chicago)
- Learn how clients use the Eze OMS™ for trading activities including portfolio management, electronic trading and settlement processes
- Implement and support electronic trading connections via the FIX protocol (Financial Information Exchange), and work directly with our consulting teams, clients, brokers, and third parties on new client implementations
- Build and maintain relationships with prominent prime and executing brokers, custodians and administrators while working to implement and support data connections between our clients and these third parties

Client Operations Analyst (RealTick EMS™ - Chicago)
- Learn the fundamentals of electronic trading while supporting an industry-leading execution management system (RealTick EMS™)
- Work directly with clients to meet their trading needs, implement new users and trading accounts, and perform basic FIX (Financial Information Exchange) connections
- Test the RealTick EMS™ by  simulating trading activity and reproducing client issues
