Employer Spotlight: J.P. Morgan


On September 29, 2014 J.P. Morgan held an information session to introduce the firm to more than 100 Fordham students. Carol Parks Clancy (GSB ’82 ’87) from J.P. Morgan brought along six recent Fordham alumni to highlight their experiences and the various opportunities that the firm offers. Each spoke of the collaborative work environment, training and supportive culture.

Corporate and Investment Bank: includes business areas such as Investment Banking, Investor Services, Public Finance, Research, Risk, Sales & Trading, Treasury Services and Quantitative Research. Commercial Banking: develops comprehensive financial solutions for a broad range of clients, including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions, and not-for-profit entities, real estate investors and owners.

Asset Management: is a team of the industry’s top client advisors, portfolio managers, research analysts and investment specialists who advise clients and invest in a full range of strategies including equities, fixed income, hedge funds, private equity and real estate.

Accounting: includes a wide range of accounting, reporting and financial control roles across our businesses and corporate areas.

Audit: partners with management to improve the practices used to identify, evaluate, control, and monitor business risks. By evaluating accounting and technology processes while leveraging technology you will deliver creative solutions and drive resolution.

Finance: ensures the company can navigate all market environments while maintaining a fortress balance sheet. You will learn how increasing regulatory and capital requirements affect the way we do business across every area of the firm.

Operations: drives efficiency and change throughout the firm by identifying and implementing ways to improve our processes, services and products. From analyzing data to supporting clients, you will engage in the day-to-day running of our businesses.
