Internship Available -- Start ASAP!


Ursuline School in New Rochelle is looking for an intern in Fundraising, Events or Communications -- who can work between 20-40 hours per week.. and they are looking for someone to start ASAP!

About the Ursuline School:
Founded in 1897 by the Order of St. Ursula, The Ursuline School is a Catholic, college preparatory school dedicated to the intellectual, spiritual, and moral development of young women. Rooted in the counsels of St. Angela Merici, founder of the Ursuline Sisters, the mission of the school community is to educate, inspire, and empower young women to learn, to lead and to serve.
Ursuline currently enrolls 792 students in grades 6-12. Ursuline students come from throughout Westchester County and the Bronx as well as from Manhattan and Connecticut. They represent a broad diversity of racial, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds. While a Catholic school, Ursuline welcomes students of all religions, and about 20 percent of students are non-Catholic.

About the PAID Internship:
The Advancement Office of The Ursuline School seeks [1 or 2] undergraduate or graduate level interns throughout the academic year and during the summer.  These internships offer opportunities to work closely with three fundraising professionals and acquire experience in annual fund and campaign materials, events and communications.

Our paid internships may [also] be for academic credit. Time commitment is 2-4 days per week.  Interns will work in one or more of the following areas:

Fundraising support:  Research, updating database records, and creating reports related to Annual Giving, Planned Giving and Campaign initiatives.

Events:  Assisting with Reunion, 115th Anniversary Celebration, Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies and other events by organizing and preparing event materials such as invitations and programs; helping with onsite logistics such as welcoming guests; drafting basic meeting materials including minutes; and other assistance when needed as part of the Advancement team.

Communications:  Working on print and electronic materials pertaining to initiatives listed above; assist with marketing video in connection with 115th Anniversary Celebration; write articles; assist with social media.

Internships are competitive.  Successful candidates will have excellent customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and be able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.  Demonstrated interest in non-profit sector or fundraising a plus.
